DR. SHWETA NEHRA, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner

Dr. Shweta Nehra, a renowned Associate Professor of Geography, holds a PhD in Urban Geography with a specialization in Remote Sensing. With 16 years of dedicated teaching experience, she has been a pivotal figure in academia, particularly in Urban Geography and Remote Sensing & GIS, where she has guided and mentored numerous postgraduate students. Dr. Nehra also successfully completed the NNRMS course under the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), further enhancing her expertise in the field.
Her research interests are centered on urban development, with a focus on Urban Land Use Land Cover (LULC) Change Patterns and the spatial and temporal dynamics of LULC in urban centers. Dr. Nehra has made significant scholarly contributions, publishing numerous academic papers and book chapters. She is also an accomplished research supervisor, having guided several M.Phil. and PhD scholars through their research journeys.
A regular presenter at both national and international seminars, Dr. Nehra actively shares her research findings with the broader academic community. She is a life member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing and the Rajasthan Geographical Association (RGA). In addition to her academic and research contributions, she serves as an Associate NCC Officer at her institution, playing a vital role in mentoring and guiding the youth to contribute to society and the nation.
DR. DEVESH SAHARAN, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner

Dr. Devesh Saharan is a distinguished Associate Professor of Geography with a PhD in Physical Geography, specializing in glacier studies. His research interests have led him to be an active participant in the prestigious Indo-Swiss Capacity Building Program (Level I & Level II) on Himalayan Glaciology. This program, organized and supported by the Department of Science & Technology in collaboration with the Universities of Geneva, Bern, and Zurich.
In addition to this, Dr. Saharan has furthered his expertise by completing the NNRMS course at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). His proficiency in Quantitative Techniques and remote sensing is invaluable to postgraduate students, as well as to M.Phil. and PhD scholars under his mentorship. Dr. Saharan is a prolific contributor to academia, having presented numerous research papers at national and international seminars.
He is also empaneled as resource person at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Bikaner, where he imparts his knowledge to the wider academic and professional community. As an active life member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing and the Rajasthan Geographical Association (RGA), Dr. Saharan remains deeply engaged with the academic community. His scholarly contributions include chapters in several books within his field of expertise.
Beyond his academic commitments, Dr. Saharan plays a vital role as an Associate NCC Officer, where he mentors and guides the youth, making significant contributions to both society and the nation.
